In this Privacy Policy you can read how KidZcity handles your personal data when you visit our website www.kidzcity.nl, when you make a reservation and when you use our services. We explain how we process your personal data and how you can exercise your rights.

We respect your privacy. The personal data we process about you is treated with the utmost care and security. In our processing of personal data we comply with the requirements set by laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (AVG).

Who is the data controller for the processing of personal data?

All data processing through the website, including your website visit and making reservations through our website is carried out by KidZcity.

KidZcity processes your personal data when you visit the website and when you make a reservation via the website.

When you submit a question, request or complaint it will be handled by KidZcity.
Processing of personal data

We may process personal data about you at various times. Below we explain when we may process your personal data, what personal data is involved and who is responsible for this.

Website visits

We use cookies on our website. We place cookies to show you the website and to improve it and make it more user friendly.

KidZcity may process the following personal data from you:

  • Contact details, including your first and last name, address, zip code, city, country, (mobile) phone number and email address.
  • Date you want to come and play or when you organize an event or party.
  • When you create an account KidZcity processes your email address and password.
  • Other personal data, including the information you provide in open text fields.

Forgot to make a reservation?

Of course, it can happen that you forget to make a reservation.

If we still have room to play on the day of your visit, you can buy a ticket at the service desk. KidZcity staff may ask you to show your ID to check your age, for example. KidZcity does not make a copy or scan of your identification and does not record any data from your identification.

Camera surveillance

We use camera surveillance in KidZcity.

We use the camera footage to protect your and our property and to secure our location. We may also use the camera images to record incidents.

If an incident occurs in or around KidZcity or if the house rules, special conditions or general conditions are violated, KidZcity records this.

We then fill out a form stating, among other things, what happened, when and where the incident took place and with which attraction the incident took place.

This incident record may also include personal data about you if you are involved in an incident or violating the rules.

Contacting us

When you contact us, we process your first and last name, your e-mail address and/or telephone number and the other data you share with us in connection with your question or request.

For what purposes do we process your personal data?

  • To process your reservations.
  • To provide the products and services you have requested.
  • To allow you to create an account and thus make reservations.
  • To provide information about products and services.
  • To maintain contact with you and to handle questions, requests, complaints and claims.
  • To protect our and our visitors' property and record any incidents.
  • Internal security and management.
  • To alert you to our house rules, Special Conditions, Terms and Conditions and to monitor compliance with them.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
  • To analyze and improve our products and services. We may

Your personal data will not be further processed for purposes incompatible with the above purposes.
What is the basis for processing your personal data?

We may only process personal data if there is a legal basis for doing so. If you have made a reservation with KidZcity, KidZcity processes your personal details because this is necessary to execute the agreement with you.

We can also process personal information because we have a legitimate interest to do so. This is the case, for example, when we process personal data to provide a safe environment to play and to check that everyone complies with our regulations.

We also have a legitimate interest to improve, further develop and bring our products and services (including the website) to the attention of our (existing) guests. If we process personal data because we have a legitimate interest in doing so, we will first carefully check that your interests do not prevent us from doing so.

Where possible, we use aggregated or anonymized personal data for product development and area analyses.

We may additionally process personal data about you because it is necessary in connection with a legal obligation imposed on us. For example, we are obliged to adhere to certain security standards and record incidents.

Finally, if a (serious) incident has occurred, we process personal data because it is necessary to protect your vital interests and to call in any emergency services.

If the aforementioned bases are not applicable, we will ask you for your consent before processing your personal data. If we ask for your consent, you can withdraw your consent at any time. We will then not process your personal data any further.

Personal data of minors

Our indoor amusement park is intended for children from 0 to 11 years old. The children are allowed to play accompanied by an adult supervisor. The supervisor makes the reservation with us and buys the tickets at the ticket office. We only process personal data of children when this is necessary to register incidents and to take care of a children's party booked (by the guest). Our (direct) marketing actions focus on the adult attendants and we do not ask the children to leave their personal data.

How long is personal data stored?

We save your personal data no longer than is nescesarry for our purposes. When you make a reservation with us without an account, the data will be saved for up to 180 days after the visit. Data about financial transactions can be kept up to seven years after the visit when it is nescesarry to comply with fiscal regulations. Furthermore, personal data can be saved when needed for legal procedures, official complaints or lawsuits. The data can be saved untill a time it is no longer needed to ensure our interests.

Who has access to our data?

Employees of KidZcity, where the reservation is made, can see personal data, to be used as stated in the Privacy Policy.
We can call on third parties to improve our products and services, including our booking system, which also gives these parties temporary access to the personal data. When this is the case, the other parties have signed contracts with us to ensure the appropriate usage and saving of the data.
When requested, we will provide personal data to fiscal authorities and supervising bodies. This will only apply when we are legally required to do so.

Are your data processed outside the European Economic Area (EEA)?

KidZcity is located within the EEA. Your personal data is also processed within the EEA and we will not provide your personal data to external organizations or institutions located outside the EEA. We may use processors located outside the EEA. In that case, we first check whether this country has an adequate level of protection and if this is not the case, we take additional measures to legitimize the transfer.

Security

We believe that good security of personal data is essential and we take appropriate technical and organizational measures. For example, we secure our systems in accordance with the applicable standards for information security, we use an internal authorization process for our systems and we regularly make a backup of our database.

Our website contains hyperlinks to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content of these websites. We recommend that you read the conditions and privacy statement on these websites.

What are your rights with regard to your personal data?

  • Under privacy legislation, you have a number of rights with regard to your personal data and its processing.
  • Right of access. This is the right to ask us whether we have personal data about you and to inspect it.
  • Right to rectification. You can ask us to change incorrect or incomplete personal data.
  • Right to be forgotten. In some cases you have the right to have us delete your personal data, for example when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which we obtained it.
  • Right to restriction. This is the right to have less personal data processed or to temporarily stop processing. For example, you can request this if you believe that your personal data is incorrect.
  • Right to data portability. When we process your personal data on the basis of an agreement or consent, you have the right to data portability. This is the right to receive your personal data from us so that you can forward this data to another party.
  • Right to object. You can object to the processing of your personal data. If your personal data is processed for direct marketing or on the basis of KidZcity's legitimate interests, you may always object to the processing of your personal data.
  • Withdraw your consent. If you have given us permission to process your personal data, you may withdraw that permission at any time. This withdrawal will not affect the processing of your personal data before you withdraw your consent.

  • Always clearly indicate in your request which personal data it concerns.
  • We may ask you for additional information to verify your identity.

If you are younger than 16 years old, your parents (legal representative with authority) can invoke the aforementioned rights. We can ask the representative to prove that he or she has parental authority.

We are not always obliged to grant your request(s). We always respond to your request, at least within one month. We may only take longer in special cases, but we will always inform you about the progress.

Complaints

If you have any complaints about how we handle your personal data, you can contact us via the KidZcity contact details. We are happy to help you find a solution. If no suitable solution can be offered, you can always file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Amendments

This Privacy Policy may be changed by us from time to time. We therefore advise you to regularly read this Privacy Policy for any changes. The amended privacy policy will be published on the website, stating the date on which the changes take effect. If there are substantial or essential changes that could significantly affect one or more data subjects, we strive to inform these data subjects immediately.
